FALL INTERNSHIP - MENSWEAR ARCHIVING

Responsibilities:
• Hands-on training includes a firsthand look at the Men’s Design process from inspiration to production.
• Exposure to garment care and cataloguing techniques.
• Exposure to unique design/inspirational vocabulary.
• Vintage garment research.
• Take garments through each step of archiving from unpacking, identifying, tagging and locating.
• Styling garments for photography.
• Developing libraries of information.
Requirements:
Students currently enrolled in a full-time university design program or related discipline will be eligible for an Internship.
Qualified candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:
• Strong interest in Menswear Design
• Strong sense of the Polo Ralph Lauren aesthetic
• Excellent portfolio; demonstration of original and creative work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle fast-paced environment
This is an unpaid internship offering academic credit.
