Full-time Design Internship

at RTTS in New York

We are seeking an undergraduate or masters’ candidate with interest and experience in graphic and web design to assist the Marketing Department with a variety of creative duties. The Design Internship position will play a significant role within the company, creating and producing print and online collateral. This position will also assist the Development Department in the design of a Web 2.0 software GUI (graphical user interface).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist in the coordination and design of corporate materials, including emailers, print advertising, PowerPoint presentations, and client newsletters.
• Creating and/or updating corporate websites
• Assist with the visual aspects of Web 2.0 software
• Effectively execute creative design ideas while adhering to brand and style guidelines
• Creating Flash presentations
• Drafting, editing and maintaining print and on-line sales material

Qualifications:
• Ideal candidate has strong design skills, is detail-orientated, responsible and proactive in their approach to work
• Candidate must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver) as well as HTML/CSS and Flash. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Power Point). JavaScript experience a plus. Must be comfortable using the Windows interface.
• Has an outgoing personality and effective communication skills
• Must be well organized and have demonstrated ability to multitask
• Can execute duties in a timely manner

This is a paid internship position for $15/hour. Internship credit is also available. This position will require 40 hours/week during the summer with the possibility of continuing for 20 hours/week during the school year.
