Full-time Web Producer- News Internship

Web Producer – News Internship WGN-TV/Superstation WGN (UNPAID)
Department: Creative Services, WGN-TV & Superstation WGN

Responsibilities: WGN-TV, Channel 9 and Superstation WGN are looking for an Assistant Website Producer, internship. The internship will expose the participant to the day-to-day news requirements for a local broadcast station. Required: Knowledge of HTML. Great writing and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to a fast paced environment are a must. Helpful: Knowledge of DreamWeaver, online video, and SEO, but not necessary.

Requirements
Candidate must be an undergraduate (junior/senior standing) or graduate students attending an accredited college or university majoring in Broadcasting/Communications/Journalism/Web Design or related field of study. Students must be able to obtain college credit for the internship experience (Internships are unpaid).

DURATION/HOURS: Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week during a 13-18 week period. FALL (September – December) WINTER/SPRING (January – April) SUMMER (May – August)

Resumes must be received at least one month prior to the beginning of each session to assure full consideration.* Interns are considered trainees and not employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1973.
