THIS IS A CO-OP POSITION AND ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE REGISTERED FULL TIME STUDENTS TO APPLY. This is an excellent opportunity to work and learn from a World Class Support Organization. Just outside of Boston, our Co-ops are located on the Lexington, MA. IBM Rational Campus. The candidates will be responsible for providing Level 1 support to our Rational Technical Support Engineers (TSE) giving solutions to IBM Clients. Level 1 works in a team environment to recreate Client environments, test procedural steps as described in the Problem Management Records (PMRs) and relays results to Technical Support Engineers. The role may also include technical writing or updating content, i.e. technotes that are referenced by internal/external customers. Experience with Windows, UNIX, Linux, or Eclipse, Web 2.0 technologies, DB Admin - DB2 Oracle, SQL as well as strong written and verbal communication skills preferred. Any exposure to Rational Products, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Architecture or testing and customer care experience a plus.
Required
• High School Diploma/GED
• English: Fluent
Preferred
• At least 6 months experience in technical writing
• Basic knowledge in UNIX/LINUX
• Basic knowledge in Windows
• Basic knowledge in Web 2.0 technologies
