Responsible to support all aspects of line development to pre production with the Design Director

Primary Responsibilities:
The associate HB designer is responsible to support all aspects of line development to pre production with the design director.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Help develop products that are new, current and aesthetically appropriate for the customer, while adhering to production and costing requirements.
• Contribute to seasonal trends, themes, colors and styling.
• Responsible for following through on all proto samples, strike off approval, etc.
• Assist in executing design concepts within the time frame established by seasonal calendar.
• Must produce a complete spec package for every design in a timely manner
• Ability to travel to both international and domestic locations for development

Reports To: Design Director / Senior Merchandiser

Requirements:
• AS or BA Degree from Art and Design college, prefer major in Accessories Design.
• 1-3 years related experience in the handbag market
• Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator for tech sketching

Competencies:
• Computer Skills- Adobe Photoshop for presentation boards/planograms
• Team Player, highly organized
• Ability to take direction and follow through on design and projects
