Ideal candidates are hard working, self-motivated, independent individuals, with common-sense who have a desire to help others and contribute to the growth of our business. Candidates must dedicate 40 hours per week at our headquarters in Fremont, California. This is a full-time position with benefits included!!!
We offer a base plus commission compensation plan with an environment that allows salespeople to achieve high levels of compensation.
No sales experience is required, but preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Contact new business to business prospects
- Professional telephone communication
- Assist with marketing
How are we different from 10 other entry-level sales positions?
What other companies don't tell new salespeople is:
a. Huge commissions plans don't mean huge (or large) commissions. Most companies ask you to sell products that 1 company in 50 needs. It takes days or weeks to find the right company.
b. It then may take a lot more time to find a decision maker, who may (or may not) have any interest in what you sell. He probably already has a lower quote from a competitor.
c. Most of these 'entry level' sales positions are actually lead generation positions - i.e. someone else takes your customers once you find them.
We are different.
a. Every mid-size and large company in the bay area needs (and pays for) IT training. Generally, they buy several times a year. Also, 100% of the companies in the bay area use the technologies that we provide training on, so everyone is a potential client.
b. What we sell is quite unique, so we have a low level of competition for it. Often, you will not find any similar competitors in the account.
c. It's your sale. You are not a lead generator. You get to be a real salesperson and close your own leads.
d. There are 2 levels of salespeople above you when you start. The average compensation for these 2 levels is 65K and 95K respectively (that's average compensation, not 'target' compensation). If you turn out to be very good at sales, you stand an excellent chance of moving up the food chain.
