Job Description SEE YOURSELF AS A FINANCE OR ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONAL IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

FINANCE (PLANNING ANALYST)
• Apply your finance knowledge in real-life situations including: technology and property investments, budgeting, sales forecasting, financial modeling and reporting
• Work extensively with our systems and tools to perform analysis and provide insight and recommendations for improving business performance
• Partner with key business areas like Stores, Merchandising, and Distribution to provide financial support
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects that will broaden and deepen your knowledge of Target

ACCOUNTING (STAFF ACCOUNTANT/AUDITOR)
• Prepare, produce and share results to key leaders and decision-makers inside and outside of Target
• Build relationships with key internal clients across the corporation
• Drive audits and facilitate process improvements
• Analyze financial statements to support expense control, accurate reporting, and effective investment management
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and Target Corporation Standard Control guidelines for assigned responsibilities


• 4-year degree in Business, Finance or Accounting with strong academic performance (3.0 or above)
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
• Team-oriented thinking
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Assertiveness and strong initiative
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Ability to communicate effectively
