Primary Job Responsibilities
eBay Inc. interns will participate in a challenging 10- 12 week summer program, then return to school in the fall. Summer interns will obtain practical work experience, learn about the eBay Inc. businesses, as well as have the chance to network through various social events. Interns will have a “formal” summer program experience with a variety of planned events managed by the College Programs team, including New Employee Orientation, Brown Bag Luncheons with eBay’s senior leadership, as well as other social events and opportunities for networking within the company. Summer Interns will set goals/objectives with their managers at the start of the internship, and complete end of summer performance evaluations

StubHub is a proud partner of MLB.com; a number of professional sports teams such as the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, and Washington Wizards; as well as universities such as USC, Cal, and the University of Alabama. StubHub, headquartered in San Francisco, reinvented the ticket resale market in 2000 and was acquired by eBay in February 2007.
This role will be working with the Technical Operations team to install, map and diagram a new data center. The work includes placement of machines for optimal access by operators, inventory and mapping of racks and machines, and using Visio or other drawing tools to build layouts and diagrams for use by engineers and other technicians.
The intern will learn how to build a data center from the ground up, from conceptual drawing to racking equipment, configuring and imaging servers and performing tests on production equipment. Additionally, the intern and the support team will be looking at automation scripts and building out other efficiencies to manage the environment
Job Requirements
# e-Commerce experience
# Knowledgeable in common system protocols
# knowledgeable in common Unix/Linux services including Apache, Bind, SendMail and DNS
# Knowledge of data center machinery and facilities helpful
# Use of MS Suite of tools, including Visio
# Interest in Technical Operations, Systems Automation and Systems Support
# Scripting skills such as Perl would be helpful
