How Big Can You Think?
The intern gets the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams such as product, marketing and quality.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Editorial responsibility how mobile applications will be categorized and described in the Widget Gallery.
- Evaluating and approving submitted mobile applications for Yahoo’s Mobile Widgets Platform.
- Crosscheck submitted widgets for quality and content purposes and creating direct communication with publishers and developers across the globe. - Develop metrics to monitor the health of publisher/developer audiences. Prepare weekly reports for Core Team and Management to communicate the status of these key audiences. - Cultivate relationships with key publishers and third party developers.
Minimum job qualifications
-Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate in the Yahoo! voice and successfully interact and build relationships with key publishers and developers
-Strong sense for quality products and good understanding for critical content.
-High-level technical understanding of mobile content and mobile applications
-Direct experience with consumer Internet products or services.
- Knowledge and experience of internet discussion boards and user communities
- Willingness to maintain a sense of humor in stressful situations
