Full-time Creative,Brand Intern-Sunnyvale

The Yahoo! Brand Creative Group is seeking a summer intern for a junior graphic designer position to assist the department with producing internal and external marketing communications pieces to include posters, print ads, marketing collateral, banners, and more. The intern will work closely with group members (project manager and the art directors) throughout the summer.

Production activities will include assisting with the creation of marketing pieces from concept to completion, plus production work such as modifying art, resizing existing work, color-correcting graphics and images using Photoshop and Illustrator, sourcing stock imagery and archiving project files.

No two days are ever the same and we need someone to respond to every challenge! The best candidate will have a developed understanding of layout and technical requirements of print, be creative and quality conscious.


Preferable job qualifications:

-Strong artistic sensibility in areas like color, composition, typography, balance and space
-Ability to handle multiple projects at once
-Ability to draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork using the computer
-Experience preparing art files for production in print, online and offline mediums
-Knowledge of online advertising formats + requirements (flash ads, landing pages + websites). Flash experience preferred; action scripting experience a plus.
- Experience preparing presentation boards + materials
-Experience working with digital photo assets

Minimum job qualifications (these are minimum qualifications REQUIRED for this position):

-Must be enrolled in degree program in graphic design, communications or related field
-Experience using the Adobe Suite - Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop and Acrobat
