AEDIS Architecture & Planning has multiple openings for Drafter / Intern Architect with 1-3 years experience to staff projects ranging from K-12 schools, colleges, theaters, libraries, science labs and sport facilities. AEDIS Architecture & Planning is San Jose-based medium size architectural firm specializing in public agency projects, with particular emphasis in the educational sector. The firm has enjoyed a successful practice for over 50 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and other parts of the West Coast.
Job Duties: Apply good understanding of architectural design and energy conservation skills to conduct the following moderately complex duties: Prepare detailed drawings of designs and plans, presentation drawings and graphic development, using AutoCAD and various applications; identify and incorporate energy conserving strategies, participate in estimating and optimizing energy performance of buildings; research, plan, and design projects applying knowledge of construction procedures, zoning and building codesp assist in the preparation of information regarding design, specifications and estimated costs; assist senior designers/architects in preparing Urgan Designs, Specific Plans, and Site Plans.
