Full-time Summer Minority Internship / NASA

at Adnet Systems in Maryland

Develop improvements to network related tools: – Script and/or C (or Perl) programs for collecting, consolidating, and/or reformatting network related information to make the data more useful, or to automate particular functions that are tedious or time critical. – Other possible areas could be documenting (and possibly automating) parts of the process of identifying throughput performance and areas where bottlenecks to throughput performance exist. Also, helping check into possible solutions to these bottlenecks. This may also include checking out existing tools for this.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate studies in IT, Computer Science, Networking
  • Ability to read and program in C (or possibly Perl) in a Linux environment.
  • Ability to program in a shell script (csh, tcsh,…) or at least a willingness to learn how.
  • Extra consideration for system admin skills (especially system tuning).
  • Must be US citizen or Greencard holder

This job is with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center’s SESDA II contract and therefore requires US citizenship*
