Jr Process Engineer

Job summary: Perform a variety of engineering assignments in developing and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost efficient manner. Investigate and resolve work-in-process problems. Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters. Monitor assigned operations to assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards. Review proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production/processing equipment.
Specific Duties:
1. Implement process based quality system and reduce product testing.
2. Identify process variations and implement process control.
3. Written documentation of systems and procedures.
4. Assist in design and developing special equipment for process improvement.
5. Provides leadership, technical advice and counsel to other professionals.
6. Recommends and implement changes in procedures and processes.
7. Reviews programs and evaluates results.
8. Acts as liaison with other departments, divisions and organizations.
9. Perform other reasonably related duties to address needs of internal and external customers.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of laminating/coating processes and engineering. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem solving ability. Also must be well organized, detail oriented and a self-starter.
Experience and Training: Completion of related course of study from any accredited college, technical/trade school or other pertinent work experience.
50+ hours per week
