This position is an expert in the industry and a team leader with the ability to help businesses of all sizes to improve the efficiency and cost of transportation. This position will be securing new business and helping existing clients expand the use of our services by utilizing and growing our extensive base of carrier services. While figuring out the best way to solve your clients’ tough supply chain problems and then negotiating the best deals with one of over 45,000 carriers under contract with VHI. You will then implement your solution, and handle the day-to-day challenges that are presented in the transportation industry.

Duties including but are not limited to:

• Manage shipper and carrier relationships
• Negotiate rates
• Source carriers
• Generate business leads
• Track load status
• Sales development and management of customer service account assignments
• Carrier development, including carrier diligence.
• Management of truck demand needs.
• Work with sales to establish price guidelines and manage profitability of accounts.
• Logging, tracking and resolving shipper and carrier claims.
• Communicating effectively with carriers, shippers, and team members at all times.
