Summary of Duties:
Responsible for the overall administration and management of the Career & Academic Counseling Center which include: Career Counseling, Academic Advisement, and Vocational Evaluations for Community Outreach. Provides short- and long-range program planning, marketing of services, and oversees budgets and personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from accredited institution with a doctorate's degree in Education Psychology, Counseling Education, Career Guidance or a related field plus 1 year of experience including supervision of personnel, or a master's degree as described and 5 years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; oversees recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of personnel.
2. Establishes and maintains databases to support and deliver personalized, seamless and intentional advising services.
3. Directs the planning, developing, recommending, administering and evaluating of budgets over multiple soft and hard accounts and financial matters for programs.
4. Establishes effective collaborative relationships with other student affairs and academic departments, college administration, and off campus agencies to assure a comprehensive delivery of counseling and advising service throughout the institution.
5. Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
6. Collaborates with academic administrators and Career Services to identify, define, and meet student career planning, goals and objectives.
7. Develops marketing strategies and resources to promote services.
8. Represents the University to various institutional divisions as well as externally to governmental agencies, vendors, students and their parents, and/or the general public.
9. Plans, develops, and implements strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the organization.
