Position Summary
Due to significant growth, MED3OOO has multiple openings in our Central Billing Office.​ The billing specialist is an integral part of the central billing function, reporting to the billing supervisor.​ It is primarily responsible for gathering charge information, coding, entering into database, completing billing process and distributing billing information.​

Responsibilities

Researches all information needed to complete billing process including getting charge information from physicians.​ Codes procedure and diagnosis information for each charge.​ Keys charge information into on-line accounts receivable program and produces billing.​ Processes and distribute copies of billings according to clinic policies.​ Participates with other staff to follow up on accounts until there is no balance, or the account is turned over for collection.​ Assists with coding and error resolution.​ Assists with answering the telephone, and provides information as requested.​

High School Diploma or GED.​ 1 year of billing experience in a medical office preferred.​ Knowledge of billing practices and clinic policies and procedures.​ Knowledge of medical terminology.​ Skill in computer data entry and electronic medical billing application.​ Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.​ Ability to prepare records in accordance with detailed instructions.​ Ability to work effectively with patients and co-workers.​ Ability to communicate clearly.​

We are conveniently located in Green Tree, 3 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.​ Excellent working conditions, opportunity for growth, and most positions are Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm.​ Free on-site parking is available.​
