Looking for a smart and tech savvy college student to work about three days a week. You will be working directly with the IT manager. The internship is looking to last about three months with ability for extension. Great opportunity and experience.
qualifications:
• College student matriculating toward a degree in computer science, information technology or a related field in their 3rd or 4th year of coursework.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows XP Pro and Office 2003 and 2007 Pro, as well as standard desktop applications, wireless connectivity and security
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Able to follow technical direction and use time efficiently, with limited supervision
• Ability to effectively interface with coworkers in a professional manner
• Detail oriented and organized
duties:
In this internship, you will be assigned various projects where your contribution will be directly implemented. Here is a few of the various projects you will work on:
• Creating network diagram; help-request system; develop system for preventative maintenance of desktops; create a holiday calendar; creating monitor for nightly backups and virus scanning
• Become a AV Expert and Postini Expert
• Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware; connects systems into the corporate network, establishes and verifies connectivity.
• Troubleshoots various user computer problems for example: printer problems, “my calendars [or archives] disappeared”, laptop is missing the wireless connection, etc.

AHC is a private, nonprofit developer of affordable housing in the mid-Atlantic region that provides quality homes for low- and moderate-income families. Since 1975, AHC has developed and preserved 28 properties with more than 3,300 units. They have about 135 employees through out the company.
