Full-time Sales Representative- Service, New, Modernization

at KONE Inc. in Reno/Lake Tahoe, NV

This position will be located in Reno/Lake Tahoe.



POSITION PURPOSE:



Responsible for the new business development within a territory, which includes selling new equipment, maintenance and modernization contracts, and service repairs. Maintain, manage, and maximize existing KONE accounts. Ensure maximum profit is obtained through proper project management of business sold.




Essential Functions:






Prepares and provides tenders for KONE standard products.

Grow new maintenance sales through new equipment conversions, prospecting/cold calls on competitor equipment, and national accounts.

Sell new service contacts which focus on KONE’s Key Performance Indicators.

Review bid documents to develop selling solutions for new equipment, maintenance contracts & quoted repairs.

Recognize and recommend equipment repairs to potential customers even though maintenance may not be an option at this time (Owner or competitor contracts).

Recommend modernization upgrades to customer and appropriate KONE personnel.

Retain existing Lifts In Service by maintaining strong customer relationships.

Re-negotiate existing contracts for term extensions, escalation anniversary date changes and value added service extensions.

Submit Asset Management Plans to KONE customers.

Educate/Propose KONE customers on recent code requirements/safety issues.

Perform order entry preparation on successful completion of a sale.

Submit layouts to the customers and coordinate other project management aspects on jobs sold.

Ensure quality handover to installation.




DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:




Education:



Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in sales, marketing or business administration. Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree.




Experience:






3-5 years sales experience in either the elevator and/or construction industry preferred, but can also include industrial or capital equipment sales.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and other related software.





Specific Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:




1. Ability to converse in methods of effective and persuasive speaking, voice and diction, phonics, discussion, and debate.



2. Ability to speak extemporaneously on a variety of subjects with building owners, general contractors, developers, architects, and all levels of KONE employees.
