Sales Representative, Equipment
at KONE Inc. in Las Vegas, NV
Responsible for the business development within a territory, which includes selling new equipment and modernization contracts. Ensure maximum profit is obtained through proper project management of business sold. Identify customer needs and present KONE solutions to existing and potential KONE customers.
Essential Functions:
1. Confer with owners, architects, developers, consultants and contractors of
new and/or existing structures to determine optimal equipment required
and to generate new sales.
2. Prepare and formally present bids for KONE standard equipment.
3. Review bid documents and develop selling solutions for new equipment.
4. Prepare order entry preparation on successful completion of sale.
5. Submit layouts to the customers and coordinate other project management
aspects on jobs sold.
6. Ensure quality and timely handover to installation.
7. Confer with owners and contractors of existing and/or new structures to
determine optimal equipment required and to generate new sales.
8. Ongoing account management including responding to customer requests and
assisting with collections.
9. Comply with KONE contract terms and conditions requirements when
negotiating sales.
10. Properly record account and customer activity in KONE CRM system.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Conduct AIA presentations to architects.
2. Periodically contact owner and/or customer to advise on progress of work.
3. Create and maintains reports in regards to the core product sales.
4. Attend sales and project management meetings.
5. Perform others duties as assigned.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college preferred or equivalent work experience. Preferred areas of study are: Business, Management, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Communications.
Specific Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:
1. Ability to establish a rapport and speak extemporaneously on a variety of subjects with all levels of existing and potential KONE customers.
2. Strong and effective oral, written, persuasive, and presentation skills.
3. Strong interpersonal skills required to work efficiently and effectively with co-workers, management, and customers.
4. General working knowledge of service and/or vertical transportation industry.
5. General knowledge of accounting and financial management principles.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Familiarity with common computer operations and software.
Experience: Previous 1-3 years sales, marketing, or fund-raising experience preferred.
