Job Duties Include: The clinical pharmacist I is a licensed professional who is responsible for providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services to Option Care patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Option Care, pharmacy practice professional standards, and applicable regulatory entities. This is an entry level position into the practice of clinical pharmacy in the alternate setting. The clinical staff pharmacist I coordinates patient services with the Nursing Department, monitors patient progress toward goals and educates patients, caregivers, staff and other professionals regarding appropriate medication use.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
Licensed and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
Experience with and knowledge of sterile IV admixture procedures.
Excellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Self-directed with excellent time management skills and able to work independently.
Current valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior home care and/or hospital experience. Completion of an accredited post-graduate residency program.
