Prepares approximately 70-90 State and Local Sales and Use Tax returns on a monthly/ quarterly basis; researches all tax adjustments and obtains necessary tax exemption documentation; compiles supporting documents for Sales and Use Tax audits.

Business Unit: Finance
Researches all adjustments to billed Sales Tax, documents findings, obtains necessary exemption documentation and
updates customer taxability status in billing system. Consistently maintains updated exemption certificates for ADT’s customers and vendors.
Prepares Accounts Payable vouchers for timely payment of sales and use taxes. Prepares journal entries for Electronic
Funds Transfer requests and miscellaneous adjustments.
Prepares timely and accurate sales and use tax returns using Vertex Quantum for Sales & Use Tax compliance software and/or Excel spreadsheets. Copies and mails tax returns, maintains tax return files. Maintains current Sales and Use Tax Registrations.
Compiles and reviews fixed asset purchases on a semi-monthly basis to ensure the application of Sales Tax by vendors schedules monthly Use Tax accrual as applicable
Prepares Unclaimed Property Returns and supporting schedules. Coordinates timely payments of Unclaimed Property and maintains complete files.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Education: BA/BS in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years prior related experience is required.
May be entry level for employees with a Master’s Degree.
