IASIS Healthcare is a leading healthcare organization owning 16- acute care hospitals and 3-ambulatory surgical centers throughout 6 states. We are currently seeking a Patient Account Representative to support our growing organization.

This position is responsible for the resolution of IASIS Healthcare self-pay accounts receivable. Works in conjunction with owned hospitals contacting their patients/guarantors, primarily by telephone, and requesting full payment of their account. When unable to immediately pay in full, offers the patient/guarantor alternatives for payment in full, such as credit cards, internal and external time payment programs, bank loans, assistance programs (when applicable) and /or charity care through the hospital. Documents all activities in the center’s data processing system. Make recommendations for bad debt when formidable barriers occur. Works with management developing and maintaining a level of understanding of the federal and state laws and regulations regarding collections. Promotes IASIS Healthcare daily through compliance, productivity, and a working knowledge of collection tolls and maintains a positive attitude. Completes other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements **Two or more years experience in collections preferred. **Working self-pay healthcare collections is a plus. **Patient Financial Services Certification from accredited healthcare organization is a plus. **Must have good verbal, written and listening skills. **Must demonstrate continuous professionalism and maintain efficient telephone skills. **Familiar with operating PCs in a Windows environment. **Ability to type accurately with a minimum of 30 words per minute. **Have a positive attitude toward collections. **Have the ability to exercise good judgment and tact in stressful situations
