The Coding Compliance Manager will develop and maintain the coding and documentation compliance program, monitor the quality of coding and abstracting compliance with external regulatory agency requirements, and manage the coding area to ensure timely, accurate coding.

Job Requirements:
To be considered for this role, the candidate must meet the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise):
* A.A. or A.S. degree in Health Information Technology from an accredited college or program * Satisfactory completion of the national registration exam through AHIMA * Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required * Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is preferred * 3 to 5 years of acute care hospital coding experience * Minimum of 1 year of experience supervising an HIM department * Knowledge of coding compliance regulations * Significant experience in ICD-9/CPT coding, DRG assignment * Expert level knowledge of coding conventions and reimbursement methodologiesCollege ad viewed: 205 times
