Location: Norton, MA

Hours/Week: 24- 40 hrs/wk; Mon-Fri
Position Purpose
Under supervision of RF Engineer or Sr. RF Engineer, the RF Engineer Intern will assist with monitoring, analyzing, and reviewing network performance. The intern may also be involved in completing regulatory compliance documents and maintaining appropriate databases.
Duties & Essential Job Functions
# Drive test new cell sites and/or network configuration changes such as frequency retunes.
# Prepare initial performance reports for new cell sites.
# Database maintenance.
# Produce technical maps for Sales and Zoning support.
# Prepare work orders for new site turn up and/or capacity expansions.
Position Requirements
# Strong working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office Suite applications
# Excel macros and SQL programming a plus
# Mapinfio experience a plus
# Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills.
# Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
# Troubleshooting/analysis skills (from programming point of view)
Education & Experience
# The Intern must be currently obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, or related field.
# Must have had a driver’s license for at least 3 years with a good driving record.
# Completed coursework that deals with basic Network Communications is preferred.
# Some knowledge (theory) of Cellular Telephone Networks including RF signal propagation is preferred.
# Knowledge of the wireless industry is desirable.
