Hourly Positions Available - Seeking Enthusiastic Candidates
at AMF Bowling Centers Inc in Richmond, VA
AMF Bowling is seeking enthusiastic, service-minded individuals who are committed to providing excellent guest service in a fast-paced, high-energy and FUN environment!
A Variety of Hourly Positions Are Available:
Bartender:
Our centers are a little like a night club and a little like a neighborhood bar. You will have customers coming in for a party or a once a year event, and you will have “regulars” as well. Can you manage both types of customers? Do you love to talk and meet new people? Do you have a listening ear and an encouraging word? If you do, and you know how to tend bar, then we would love to meet you.
Counter Desk Attendant / Equipment Specialist:
Good with people? How would you like to be in the midst of all the action? These jobs are the “air traffic controllers” of our centers. The ideal counter attendant loves to multitask and thrives in a fast paced and high energy environment. They are the front line troops in our battle to ensure that the customers are not only served, but having the time of their lives. These positions, which are largely night jobs, are perfect for those interested in an alternative schedule and the fun associated with delivering superior customer service.
Birthday Party Host:
Are you always the "Life of the Party"? If you are, come host a few parties for AMF! We need folks that love to be with others, and are "laser focused" on making the party a great time. If that sounds like fun, consider applying for a Birthday Party Host position.
Entry Level Mechanic:
Not everyone has the skills to be solely responsible for our pinspotters. We have a position to give mechanically-oriented, but less experienced individuals an opportunity to get familiar with these specialized machines.
Our goal is to give you the training necessary to be promoted! If you are mechanically inclined, don’t have a ton of experience, and want to have a crack at our very rigorous and rewarding training program, this is the position for you!
Lane Server:
Do you like chatting with customers who are having fun and “dishing” delicious food, ice cold sodas, beers and hip cocktails? Then you will LOVE this job! Imagine waiting on multiple tables (lanes), getting to know your guests by name and being paid to do it. Our lane servers earn more than the typical server hourly wage. They also have the best opportunity to earn the big bucks in tips by providing our customers with the highest level of service.
Shift Leader:
Shift Leaders are our most responsible hourly staff. These individuals have demonstrated an interest in management and need a little experience to develop into our future leaders. Initiative, customer service skills, a responsible disposition, good communication, and the ability to motivate others are musts for individuals hired into this vital role.
Cook:
Do you like making food for people having fun? Our cooks prepare great tasting casual meals and have fun while they work! If you have experience in food preparation and are a stickler for food safety and quality, this is the position for you!
Experienced Mechanics:
If the pinspotters don’t work, NO ONE is having any fun! This is one of the most important jobs in the company. Our mechanics are responsible for making sure that all of our bowling equipment is operational. They also get involved in facilities maintenance to ensure that our customers experience a fun and safe environment. Preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repairing of machines are other important parts of the job.
