Job Description

This highly motivated self-starter will be responsible for using all forms of media to build, maintain and manage the reputation of Sonoma Partners in the enterprise business arena, with a geographic focus in the Chicago area. The marketing manager will be responsible for communicating key messages to defined target audiences to establish Sonoma Partners' reputation as one of the leading providers of Microsoft CRM.



Essential Duties:

o Research and write web content (articles, case studies, editorials, etc.) to keep Sonoma Partners website up to date.

o Research, write and produce monthly e-mail newsletter targeted at Microsoft Dynamics CRM prospects and customers.

o Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media and promote news stories and features to the media via the phone.

o Coordinate marketing events/seminars including related marketing activities related to the events to generate interest and demand.

o Create sales and marketing collateral to support direct sales efforts.

o Manage online advertising such as keywords, paid placement and so on.

o Coordinate the appearance of all of Sonoma Partners' print and electronic materials, such as letterhead, logo/brand and marketing materials.

Requirements

Requirements:

o Minimum of 3+ years in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the B2B software and/or technology sector

o Excellent writing acumen, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical readers in a compelling manner

o Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications

o Polished phone presence

o Ability to establish credibility with the media and strong media research skills

o Demonstrated experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with the media

o Enjoy working with technology and ability to learn technical areas of software related to public relations

o Strong written and oral communication skills

o Highly motivated and dependable, a true self-starter

o Bachelors degree in journalism, marketing or public relations preferred
