Computer Support Technician Instructor
Would you enjoy sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm for Information Technology with our dedicated students You will prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions in information technology and to give them opportunities for career advancement. You will instruct courses in Systems Hardware and Software, Network Operating Systems and Systems Security.
What you will do:
· Present enthusiastic, well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus. · Continually promote the development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem solving and decision-making. · The teaching assignment will include computer information systems such as Introduction to Systems Hardware and Software, Microsoft Desktop and Network Operating Systems, Linux, Java Script, Web Development (including SharePoint), and Systems Security
Provide students with a complete syllabus containing course objectives on the first day of class.
Job Requirements
Skills and experience you need:
Bachelor’s degree (required) or higher (preferred) in Computer Sciences or a related field
Minimum 3 years applicable – one or more of the following: A+, Network+, Linux+, MCP, MCSE, CNE, and / or CCNA
Strong presentation and organization skills, excellent persuasive communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Front Page (Office 2007); MOS or MCAS also desirable.
Documented successful classroom teaching experience at the post-secondary level, or equivalent private industry experience is highly desireable.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
Exceptional social and customer focused skills
