Supply Chain Analytics Sales Position
Purpose of Position
Sell Supply Chain Analytic solutions; includes products, services and tools to members that address their challenges in managing their supply chain operations and reducing costs. Establish credibility and expertise for VHA in the Supply Chain Analytics space and coordinate internal resources to implement and deliver solutions. Must be able to generate leads, develop proposals, develop/deliverer presentations to department and executive levels and negotiate and close the deal. Utilize the sales process to effectively cross sell, up sell and close the sale at both the department and executive levels
Specific Responsibilities
Understand dynamics of hospital supply chain operations and position SCS analytics tools as solutions to meet/exceed member needs.
Achieve territory sales and revenue targets
Manage and utilize critical information to drive sales potential by:
- Maintaining current knowledge of VHA offerings as well as that of competitors
- Targeting key members
- Understanding existing utilization of products and opportunities for enhancement and further penetration
- Knowledge of organization’s pain points and needs
- Leverage stakeholder relationships to gain access and entry to key member decision makers
Job Requirements

Passion for selling
Hospital experience in supply chain, technology and/or data management
Attention to the details of the selling process – managing the steps in multiple organizations at various stages in the sales process.
Ability to negotiate and close sophisticated sales opportunities
Strong presentation skills
Executive presence
Technology savvy
Ability to be consultative – diagnose by asking questions and offer creative solutions to meet unique member needs.
Demonstrated ability to build credibility and confidence through strong partnership relationships with key stakeholders to include members, area offices, VHA and Novation.
