Summit Career College is seeking a Full-Time Medical Billing and Coding Instructor to join the Education Team in Colton, CA.
Duties Include:
You will prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions within the medical billing and coding specialist field or related area and to give them opportunities for career advancement.
Promotes and nurtures the education of students by planning and tailoring courses of study according to curriculum guidelines and state requirements; monitoring, assisting with, and correcting academic efforts; providing a safe environment conducive to learning and presents lesson plans by using a variety of techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, audiovisual and library resources, computers, and the Internet.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years proficient medical coding/billing experience required.
Experience processing medical insurance, billing and claims experience.
Teaching experience preferred
High School graduate or special education in related field
