Potomac Job Corps Center is looking for a Career Counselor.
Job Corps is the nation's largest residential and educational training program for economically challenged youth, ages 16 through 24. Established in 1964 and funded by the Department of Labor, Job Corps has trained and educated more than two million young people to date and continues to serve more than 70,000 young adults each year. Job Corps offers hands-on training in more than 60 career areas, all high growth industries.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, coordinating, developing, and implementing a professional, person and group counseling program for assigned students, in compliance with government and management directives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester hours in social service related instruction. One year related experience. Must be computer literate with knowledge of computer hardware and specific software. A valid driver’s license issued by the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland is required, with an acceptable driving record.
