Sony Electronics Inc, headquartered in San Diego, California, has an opportunity for a Packaging Intern available in their Flat Television of America Design Engineering Group. The successful candidate will assist packaging engineers in the design, development and implementation of protective packaging for television products.
You will be responsible for independently conducting drop and vibration testing., analyzing test results and writing detailed test reports, suggesting, proving and implementing design changes, modifying drawings in Adobe Illustrator and Pro/E, and creating part designs as required and creating/issuing internal drawings.Requirements
Minimum Junior or Senior level is required
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Packaging Design degree
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
Pro/e Wildfire and Adobe Illustrator strongly preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand/walk up to 6 hours per day
Self-starter with good assessment and problem solving skills
Able to create and clearly propose creative ideas
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong, professional work ethic
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at all level
Results oriented with an emphasis placed on achieving overall team performance
Able to manage multiple projects at one time (multi-tasking is an essential function of this position)
