Full-time Cost Control Assistant

at SOS International, Ltd. in Reston, VA

The Cost Control Assistant will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and, in some cases, preparation of timekeeping records and personnel expense reports for submission to payroll and general accounting and in support of the Billing function. The individual will supervise clerical support assigned to the function. The position is located in the company’s operational office located in Reston, VA and reports to the Manager of Billing and Cost Control, who is located in the company’s headquarters in New York City.

Job Responsibilities:

-Collect and review employee timesheets
-Verify billable timesheets against contractual requirements and labor submission reports
-Prepare and process billable expense reports in line with government travel regulations
- Prepare labor and expense package for biweekly payroll
-Enter timesheets and expense reports into Deltek Accounting System
-Prepare upload of electronic timesheet feed into Deltek Accounting system using MS Excel
-Support various projects as needed such as the implementation of an electronic time reporting system
-Help Program Management and employees in proper time and expense reporting procedures
Requirements
- One to three years of relevant work experience in timekeeping, expense report processing or cost accounting.
- The ideal candidate will be an independent, detail-oriented self-starter who can multi-task effectively and work with minimal supervision.
- The person must have excellent MS Office skills especially in Excel.
- Must have ability to interact and work with other employees outside department.

Desired Skills:

- Previous work experience with Deltek GCS Premier Accounting System
- Knowledge of Government Travel Regulations (JTR, FTR)
- College degree preferred but not required.
