Architectural Intern
at Babich & Associates in DFW, TX
An Architectural design firm located in the North Dallas area of DFW is currently seeking to add 3 to 4 Architectural Interns to it's staff. This firm is experiencing a large upswing in projects and needs to add additional people for these projects and for the future. This firm is poised to double in size and profitability during 2008, and presents a very intriguing opportunity for the right candidate. The projects range in size and scope and include but are not limited to multi-family, municipal, educational, hospitality, churches and retail. These positions will be full time, permanent positions and are not on a per project basis. This firm prides itself on the internal makeup and will be looking for people interested in a long term opportunity.
The Architectural Interns will be primarily responsible for production related aspects of the new projects. This will include CAD support (using both AutoCAD and Revit), construction documentation, quality checking and other related support requirements for the Project Architect.
Requirements
These positions will require at least a Bachelors Degree in Architecture or Environmental Design from an accredited university. Candidates who have a Masters of Architecture and that will be able to become NCARB certified are desired. Candidates should have have least 1 year of experience in an architectural design consultancy or A&E firm. Candidates who have more experience and who are elidible to begin (or have begun) the registration exams, or who are close to beginning are desired as well. Aptitude with AutoCAD is a must, and experience with Revit and Photoshop are also very beneficial.
