Internship (unpaid)--Business Management or Finance Majors
at NEW YORK MAGAZINE/MEDIA in New York, New York
New York Media (comprising of New York Magazine and nymag.com) has an immediate need for an Intern to work closely with our Chief Operating Officer to support its business operations in its Downtown Manhattan headquarters and receive school credit. We are seeking applicants who wish to be a part of a dynamic environment, explore the publishing industry and work closely with senior executives. (Great networking opportunity!) Duties:
· Track and chronicle incoming requests to analyze future departmental needs
· Update and revamp the archives of company documents
· Field a variety of situations related to legal, operations, human resources, circulation and magazine production for the COO.
· Help develop benchmarks for 2009 budgeting efforts
We are seeking currently enrolled Business Management or Finance Majors who have superb technical and communication skills.
