ShermansTravel Media is a leading online travel publisher of travel deals and destination advice. Our team is currently looking for an Online Sales Associate. The position is full-time and headquartered in our New York office. (see www.ShermansTravel.com)
Our candidate must be eager to learn, motivated, and detail oriented.
Position Requirements:
1-2 Years work experience in Media and Online preferred, but not required; online sales experience a plus; detail oriented; high energy; 4-years Bachelor's degree; excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must; familiarity with third party ad serving systems (Dart, ATLAS) recommended; strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; responsible, accouintable and result-driven.
This is an excellent entry level opportunity to learn and grow while gaining hands-on sales experience within a growing online travel industry with an established travel brand. The ideal candidate will be quick to learn and leverage the ability to gain exposure to sales, campaign management and marketing-related communications while working in an exciting and highly motivated environment.
1) Sales Outreach
The sales associate will contact prospects for online ad programs including website text links and banners. Travel prospects include hotels, airlines, agencies, packagers, and non endemic categories. You will write insertion orders and manage accounts.
2) Sales Support
Part of the role also includes supporting the sales team with campaign delivery, reporting, and accounting.
