We have an excellent opportunity available in our Milwaukee office for a highly motivated Bachelor's of Science Electrical Engineer intern student who is specializing in "Electrical Power Systems Engineering for Commercial Buildings". Responsibilities include working closely with senior engineering staff to perform site surveys, perform lighting design, fire alarm system design, power distribution system design, highway and roadway lighting design, photometrics, and working with NEC, IESNA, NFPA and IBC codes and standards. Some of the types of projects you may work on include hi-rise building design, indoor water parks, car dealerships, shopping malls, University expansions, sports field lighting, highway and roadway lighting, energy studies, power quality analysis, short circuit and coordination studies and manufacturing facilities design and building modifications.. Must have good personal, verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
In order to be considered for this position, you must possess all of the following basic qualifications: Junior or Senior classification with either 1) an Electrical Engineering major with AutoCAD 2008 experience or later version or 2) Engineering Technology or Architectural Engineering major with emphasis's in electrical power systems design with AutoCAD 2008 experience. You would also be expected to take Wisconsin E.I.T. examination before or upon graduation.
