Help Desk Intern (TOCC) - Corporate Services

Classified Ventures, LLC, based in Chicago, is a strategic joint-venture among five large media partners whose objectives are to collectively capitalize on the revenue growth in the online classified advertising categories of automotive, apartments, and real estate. Major responsibilities/Project:
- Deploy new hire computer equipment (both desktops and laptops) for local and remote users.
- Provides desk-side support for all computer hardware, software, and peripherals used by CV's end user community.
- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical and procedural issues.
- Assist with diagnose and repair of existing computer equipment.
- Assist with updating database of CVs computer hardware and software assets.
- Assist with reclaiming separated users' computer equipment.
- Other ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
- Possesses a strong customer service focus and service orientation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments effectively.
- Working knowledge of MS Windows 2000/XP OS & NOS and MS Office 2000/2003.
- Working knowledge of building and repairing desktop and laptop PCs.
- Understanding of LANs and WANs.
- Any Apple MAC knowledge a plus.
- Computer Science major or other undergraduate candidate interested in working in IT customer support.
