Youth Market Sales Internship
at Walt Disney Company in Lake Buena Vista, FL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will be responsible for, but not limited to; several steps in the process of selling, promoting and executing youth group programs. This may include handling telephone or email inquiries, drafting contracts, selling and booking resort rooms and events, servicing special client requests, implementing marketing tools, processing ticket orders, and building and organizing files to support the sales team. It may also include sales presentations, working special events, and in-state travel. The job requires taking the initiative to address Guest issues and discovering where improvement in penetrating the market can be made.
NOTE:
Recruiting candidates for this internship for January 2009. Internship begins in January 2009 and ends in June 2009. The deadline to apply for this position is October, 3rd 2008. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
• Currently earning a college/university degree as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with a Marketing, Public Relations, Communication or related major
• Prior Participation in the Disney Theme Parks & Resorts College Program
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated strong Guest Service skills
• Demonstrated strong partnering, networking, and relationship skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prior experience in a sales environment
• Experience in an office environment
