Part Time Merchandising Intern
at Lane Bryant in Columbus, OH
Assists the buyer with delivering the product strategy by completing the following:
Merchandise Documentation and PO Maintenance:
• Prepares purchase orders for Planner/MM sign off.
• Enters purchase orders as needed and/or is responsible for prompt and accurate completion of PO's by divisional PO specialist.
• Updates purchase orders as needed and/or is responsible for prompt and accurate PO revisions by divisional PO specialist, in order to reflect accurate information on vendor follow up report.
• Manages fit session follow-up for vendor communication, tracks calendar for fit wall dates, owns all related documentation.
• Updates buyer's intent for planners and DC, quality, test, sample, floorset, assortment planning tools, merchandise capacity documents, and additional product related documentation.
Assists the buyer with delivering the product strategy by completing the following:
Administration:
• Providing administrative support; faxing, filing, making appointments and schedules.
• Maintaining files for reports, tags, purchase orders.
• Ordering tickets, joker tags, hang tags, and related communication.
• Coordinating special projects, i.e., re-tickets, recalls.
Assists the buyer with delivering the product strategy by completing the following:
Shipping/Tracking:
• Tracks orders from purchase order entry and "cut date" to delivery in distribution center; keeps buyers advised of delivery status.
Samples:
• Obtains, organizes, sorts, tags domestic samples.
• Label Marketing samples
• Label Ecommerce samples with verbiage
Merchandise Maintenance and Problem Solving:
• Works with appropriate contact in distribution center/allocation to expedite merchandise through the yard/dc, i.e., resolve ticket problems
• Works with Import Department to complete an HTS Form to initiate an import order.
• Works with Imports on changes to merchandise cost and delivery of import orders
• Resolves price discrepancies with inventory control; ticket and ownership.
Job Requirements
• Junior or Senior in Fashion Merchandising or related fields.
• Previous internship experience in a retail corporate environment or retail store experience preferred.
• Experience with all MS Office products including: Word, PowerPoint and Excel
