Operations Associate Internship

The qualified individual should be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year degree program and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. He/She will possess strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills. This role requires confidentiality, strong communication and organizational skills. He/She should be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently and be computer proficient. A strong interest and knowledge of financial markets is desired. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a back-office environment at a Wall Street firm.
Primary responsibilities includes (not limited to):
• Document identification and data entry (includes entering customer information and correspondence via phone, chat and emails).
• Creating organizational task lists, updating calendars and meeting schedules in Novell GroupWise email.
• Conducting research on various company policies and procedures.
• Sorting, renaming and reformatting incoming requests via enterprise fax and/or email for distribution.
• Development track to assist with reporting, research and related projects using Excel and internal software.
Skills/Requirements:
• Must be eligible to work in the USA (No H1 Visa Sponsorship)
• Computer literate - Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and Internet. Adobe Acrobat and Power Point a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
• Self starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
