Full-time Global Health Internship: Fall 2008

at COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS in New York, NY

The Council has an internship available in the Studies Department. The intern will report to the Senior Fellow for Global Health and will help to organize and run the daily activities of the office and participate in research as needed.

The main responsibilities of the interns will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with research for upcoming experts meetings
• Aiding with the logistical aspects of events
• Assisting in research and fact checking for an upcoming book
• Providing administrative support for Global Health Program Operations
Qualifications
• Undergraduate student focusing on Global Health/International Affairs
• Strong interest and experience in the field of Global Health/International Affairs
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
• Extensive research experience
• Previous administrative work
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and positive team player attitude
• Strong proofreading, editing skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work 3 days a week
A modest stipend is offered upon completion of the internship.
