Sony Solutions Engineering Department of Business and Professional Group looking for interns interested to work on next generation Sony technology for professional lines of Sony products and systems. This internship presents an excellent opportunity for people pursuing a BS/MS in EE, CE or CS to learn system architecture, design, integration, and deployment of complex hardware/software systems. Qualified candidates must be result oriented, self-motivated and good team players.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze complex system situations, participate in systems troubleshooting. Configure, install and maintain hardware/software systems in lab/testbed environment. Participate in system functionality/performance testing and evaluation/analysis of test results. Develop/modify test and installation scripts. Participate in development of system and test documentation. Assist hardware/software product evaluation.
Requirements
• Working towards a BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Ability to follow complex instructions and work independently
• Knowledge of network equipment is a plus
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong aptitude for working on multiple projects in fast-pace environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with basic UNIX/Linux commands and system structure, shell scripting, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, or XML,
• Experience installing and using web servers and web application servers is a plus
