FileMaker Web Producer - Intern

FileMaker Inc., the software subsidiary of Apple Inc., is seeking an enthusiastic Web Producer for an internship to contribute to optimizing the user experience of our web site, including the FileMaker online Store.
This is an opportunity for a talented web producer to work with a team of highly skilled web designers and engineers to optimize our users’ online experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about measuring web site usage patterns and evolving our user experience in response. This candidate will be highly self-motivated and will be analytical, proactive, organized, detail-oriented, responsible, and exhibit excellent communication skills.
Duties:
• Contribute to the evolution of the FileMaker.com user interface based on web “best practices” and our users’ behavior.
• Update content and edit meta tags to optimize web site for search engines.
• Optimize FileMaker.com for insightful web analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with Engineering to integrate back-end system into front-end design and layouts.
• Create HTML documents and implement client-side technologies to improve customer experience.
Qualifications
Must be enrolled in a BSCS or MSCS program in an accredited University.
• Strengths in learning systems that enable web site content management and analysis.
• Ability to guide the continuous improvement of web usability and ROI based on analytics.
• A strong desire to learn the relevant aspects the content management system, Cascade Server.
• Some experience with hand-coding D/XHTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Experience using Photoshop or Fireworks for image slicing and optimization.
• Ability to work well and prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Extremely detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
