Polysomnography Tech II Part Time 20 Hrs/Wk

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining diagnostic and treatment equipment to obtain data for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders; for scoring sleep data; for generating reports from sleep data, and assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders under the direction of the Department Manager/Supervisor and Department Medical Director.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
" A high school diploma or the equivalent
" Current registration as a Polysomnography Technologist or certified by California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
" One year experience in sleep disorders testing
" Critical Care patient experience is preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/TRAINING:
" Current certification in CPR is required
" Current registration as a Polysomnography technologist (RPSGT) or California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
Primary responsibility for this position is scoring of patient sleep data.
This position is represented by AFSCME and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
