Job Description:

Our customer in Johnson Creek, WI is seeking an Entry Level Design Engineer to conduct analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop design for products.

• Keeps Engineering Manager aware of pertinent issues, information, etc. warranting Engineering Manager’s knowledge, action and /or resolution.
• Ensures proper, accurate records, files, databases, etc. are maintained, as required, within areas of responsibility.
• Works with company personnel as required to resolve estimating and design related manufacturing problems.
• Audit and recommends methods of operations and materials to increase production and improve standards.
• Assist in development of new products.
• Drafts detailed multi-view drawings, specifications, list of materials, manufacturing equipment, tooling, patterns, gauges, components, specialty items and requirements for assigned product lines.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and related documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products/projects assigned.
• Determine material requirements for machining and cutting parts.
• Ensures timely and accurate parts data release documentation to departments and organizations.
• Ensures consistent procedures and controls are established, implemented, followed, and maintained.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
• Maintains CNS drawings and files.
• Prepares and maintains master lists of parts, drawings, machining requirements, quantities, operational characteristics, functions, costs, specifications catalogues, manuals, etc.
• Revises and changes drawings per specifications.
• Prepare drawings for shop releases after revisions are made.
• Record procedures for drafting.
• Associate Degree or 1 to 2 years of experience required.
• Proficient PC and related software application skills. (CAD, Microsoft Office XP).
• AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor preferred, will consider experience with Solidworks.
