Job Description
Job Purpose Statement:
Merchandise and stock all Dreyer’s/Edy’s branded portfolio products and all partner brand products in assigned accounts. Support Route Sales Representatives’ sales territory through efficient and timely work ethic. Able to repetitively lift 15 to 50 pounds and move pallets of ice cream, and racks of ice cream in freezer storage area. Work according to needs of business as assigned, which may include weekend merchandising; must be able to work regularly in sub zero degree environments.
BASIC Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma / GED equivalent.
• Must have a dependable vehicle with valid insurance.
• Successful completion of post offer background checks, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle report.
• Ability to use computer ordering equipment and have basic math skills.
• Ability to work early morning/late night hours.
• Willing to work over 30 hours when required.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays.
• Ability to work regularly in cold environment (-20 F).
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting required (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to push and/or pull up to 2,000 lbs. using pallet jack.
• Grocery experience preferred.
• Ability to work safely.
• Read, write and speak English.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide world class Direct Store Service (DSS).
• Develop business growth and customer relationships.
• Merchandise product from backroom to sales cases at a pre-determined number of accounts each day.
• Generate a product order for next delivery from time to time when needed.
• Help to achieve route growth targets through effective selling and merchandising.
• Participate in customer resets as market growth dictates.
• Maintain safe work environments within Dreyer’s/Edy’s guidelines.
