Human Resources Intern

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Intern to join our Human Resources team in our Menlo Park, CA office. This is an “on-call” position and candidates must have their own transportation (no relocation will be provided). The individual in this position will be responsible for performing general clerical support for the Human Resources Group. This is a great opportunity to join an established Human Resources group that is committed to providing top-notch support in a professional services firm environment. Additionally, this individual will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the different functional areas of Human Resources through participation in special projects.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with mass mailing projects
• Assisting with filing
• Auditing personnel files
• Organizing and maintaining benefits literature
• Researching and investigating information
• Assisting with various special projects as assigned by the HR staff
Qualifications for this position include:
• Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Human Resources program or a related field
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
• Ability to multi-task and interact with all levels of personnel
• Must be enthusiastic, flexible, and a team player
• Exposure to sensitive information will necessitate use of tact, discretion, and judgment
• Experience working with Applicant Tracking and/or HRIS databases a plus
