Software Testing Intern

JOB SUMMARY
Comtrol Corporation is seeking a motivated individual to assist with testing software and hardware products in our QA test lab. Applicants will work with a combination of automated test applications and manual testing methods to regression test both application and driver software. They will also assist with writing test plans and configuring test systems as required. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently on tasks and interact as part of a larger team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Update existing and create new Test Complete Scripts as a result of GUI changes in the product
• Obtain a basic understanding of Comtrol products and software
• Assist with the execution of manual and automated regression testing
• Update existing manual testing and regression testing checklists
• Create new Manual testing checklists
• Keep accurate and detailed testing notes
• Complete detailed test reports upon completion of testing
• Update and review product documentation changes for accuracy
• Interact with developers, product management and QA analysts to communicate issues encountered during testing
QUALIFICATIONS
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university seeking an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience/Coursework with general development/test Experience/Coursework with GUI
• Experience with TCP/IP networking
• General knowledge of serial communication (preferred)
• Experience installing Microsoft operating systems and Linux distributions
• Exposure to automated testing tools and procedures (preferred)
• Black box testing experience (preferred)
