Part-time Human Resources Intern

at Blatt, Hasenmiller, Leibsker & Moore in Chicago, IL

Chicago-based collection/creditor’s rights law firm is looking for an energetic and driven Human Resources Intern. The Human Resources Intern will primarily be responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department in various HR projects. This position requires the ability to keep all information strictly confidential and ability to work quickly and efficiently. The HR Intern must be able to work in a high volume environment. This individual reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Essential Functions

• Assist with recruiting process to include (but not limited): schedule interviews, screen applicants and conduct reference/background checks
• Assist with setting up New Employee Orientation materials and Employee Benefit packets
• Maintain Human Resources Department logs
• Assist with all HR Department filing
• Restock all HR Supplies as needed (Employee Handbooks, forms and general HR supplies)
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Candidate should be a current Sophomore or Junior status student at an accredited University or College, seeking a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and/or Business Administration.
• Strong MS Office skills
• Clear and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and team player skills
• Hardworking and enthusiastic personality
